A downloadable game for Windows
Reigns but you distribute the cards.
My little attempt at making a game in 48 hours for the GMTK gameJam, had to cut a lot of features, so there's that.
Synopsis :
Society was alright, not good, but it existed...
Until it did no more, like any civilization than came before it crumbled.
Not in a single catastrophic event or at a specific date. Rather it gradually vanished because no-one care for it anymore. Or not enough peoples to the least.
But you remain, a group of scholars; poets, adventurers and romantics that dreams of peace and Unity beyond petty frontiers maintain by passing warlords.
So you organized, started planning, and placing some of your peoples at key political roles of every currently existing kingdoms and warband on these desolate lands.
You play a line of these few, your role is to guide the ruler in charge by giving him choice to make.
But your role is not necessarily the kingdom prosperity, rather you must manipulate it's progression, rise and fall in due time while your peers to the same to them, as the final goal is the reformation of a bigger structure, and the little kingdom must one day let space for the great ones yet to come.
Manipulate your king or queen and determind when best to give him choices on what to achieve your goal, He may die, you may die, but what is to come is possibly eternal.
